Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Pale green-gold. Pronounced malty aromas, like a pre-ferment whisky mash. Intriguing but not classic. Fresh but rather short on the palate. Where is the vinosity, the amplitude, the articulacy, the engagement, the wealth? This is a short, light, excessively restrained wine.

Spicy and citrus on nose, juicy fruit, fresh and tantilising, love the freshness then a hint of creamyness on finish.
