Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva

Low key, red fruit nose. Palate hot and fruity, low acidity, good firm Sangiovese tannin. Some length, bone dry.

Oaky nose, rounded, solid, on palate fruit is rich and concentrated. Just what you expect from a Riserva. Personally I find the oak dominating a little too much. Very chunky Chianti Classico but will age gracefully.

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva

High-toned, tarry, medicinal nose with a lack of obvious fruit. Finish is simple and lacks power apart from the oak-derived tannins.
