Tasting: Vosne-Romanee 2010

Slightly jammy,minty nose, but there”s some attractive raspberrry fruit too. Fairly rich, broad, ripe and succulent, with a slight boiled sweets character that mars the purity of fruit. It’s juicy and forthright but lacks some acidity and vigour. Moderate length.

rim is browning already, colour is medium deep;
Pinot fruitiness is showing development;
full and burly, lacks the elegance I expect.

Soft, succulent, spicy at first, rich and succulent behind. Some of the fine lifted fruit of Vosne Romanee but also a little oak. Quite a rich style of wine which could use a touch more precision for highest marks.
