Premier Cru

Tasting: Vosne-Romanee 2010
Rich spicy oaky nose,the wood somewhat dominant now. Rich, very concentrated, compact, distinctly tannic and oaky. This is assertive and rather grippy, and I find it quite hard to assess its probably evolution. There’s ample fruit but little finesse at present, and toasty oak marks the finish.

Tasting: Vosne-Romanee 2010
bright, youthful purple;
intense, fresh young fruitiness;
tightly knit, good fruit concentration, fresh finish, fine tannins, good length.

Tasting: Vosne-Romanee 2010
A fine pure fruit infused also with some savoury, bacon fat character, maybe from the barrel – I would prefer the wine without this, because otherwise it is a pure, fine-boned, elegant Vosne Romanee, before a slightly rough finish.
