Foscarin Slavinus
Manufacturer:
Ian D'Agata
Tasting: Soave
Bright straw yellow gold. Canned peach caramel sweet spices and field herbs, then cloying and too sweet; lacks precision.
Michael Garner
Tasting: Soave
Pale lemon gold. Round, quite fresh with a developing waxy note and strong citrus element. Full with maturing flavours of nuts and sherbet. Ripe pear fruit backed up with good acid.
Jane Hunt MW
Tasting: Soave
Mid golden colour. Some concentration of acacia and honey in the fruit with a mellow waxiness. Surprisingly lively fruit and very attractive zingy acidity. A lovely wine with some genuine typicity of Soave. Possibly a touch of astringency on the end, but overall very pleasing.
