Tasting: Soave

Bright straw yellow. Floral, candied citrus peel, jasmine, then bright and linear in the mouth with high acidity and a tannic mouthfeel but perhaps not enough fruit, I would have liked to see a bit more flesh here.

Pale lemon straw. Ripe pineapple aromas with a hint of mint and citrus peel. Fleshy, full and ripe with good acidity, mature fruit flavours and strong mineral tones to the finish.

Concentrated and somewhat vegetal nose with some nutty character too. But on the palate shows astringency and a raw quality. The wine has lost any elegance it might once have had. Drink quickly.
