English Wine Producers rebrands

English Wine Producers (EWP) has unveiled a new logo and branding designed to reinforce its message about English wines to consumers and the trade.

The ‘newer, cleaner look’ is designed to reflect ‘the freshness of the English landscape, with crisp, elegant lines to represent a modern industry, with a nod to England through the splash of a red rose’, EWP said.

The organisation, whose members include many leading producers in the sector, added that the logo resembled a seal of assurance or quality, accompanied by the strapline: ‘Promoting the fine wines of England.’

Another new logo and message has also been launched, designed around the words ‘Celebrate with English wine’ and featuring wine-related silhouettes and celebratory symbols such as bunting and fireworks.

This logo has also been modified for use during this year’s English Wine Week events, set for 2-10 June.

EWP’s role is to support its members and the logo reflects this,’ said Julia Trustram Eve, EWP marketing director. ‘We’ve gone for understated elegance – just like the wines we work with.

‘We wanted to capture the mood of the moment, which is definitely that of celebration: this year’s Jubilee and Olympics, as well as the continuing success of England’s wines.’

A new EWP website will be completed shortly and will go live in the near future.
