Decanter requires temporary staff to assist at the 2012 Decanter World Wine Awards judging week from Monday 23rd April to Friday 27th April. Additionally some staff will be required to work on Monday 30th April.
The role will be based in Parsons Green, SW6 from 8am – 5pm/6pm (depending on judging panels) and pay is £90 per day.
Duties:
- Preparing flights of wines for the judges to assess, i.e. opening bottles and pouring wine
- Assisting judges with paperwork, equipment, replacement bottles and other tasks as and when required
- Some staff will also be required to work in the wine store section, sorting wine samples and repacking wine samples for future events
This is a busy, physical role working in a team environment with approximately 40 other judging assistants.
All staff must be eligible to work in the UK, and will need to provide a copy of their passport, a recent proof of address, along with their National Insurance number.
Applicants will be required to attend an interview assessment morning at Decanter’s office in Southwark, SE1 on Friday 30th March. Successful applicants will be asked to stay on for a training session at the end of the assessment morning.
