Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010

Gamey nose but vibrant and doesn’t lack fruit. Medium-bodied but fresh and lively, has typicity and there’s ample acidity to keep the flavours dancing on the tongue. A lighter style but nimble and well balanced. Good length, lightly tannic finish.

Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010

The wine has an attractive aroma dominated by ripe black fruit, with hints of tea, bay sage and laurel all evidenced; pleasingly complex in other words. The palate does not disappoint; dark black fruit presides over an indulgent celebration which anyone with any sensual inclination should be inclined to attend. The powerful tannins will take a while to come round but it should be worth the wait.

Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010

The nose mixes oak-chocolate-charcoal in a modern form, the fruit clear and stylish inside. The nose suggests a well-balanced wine, which emerges on the palate. It flows well, the fruit is gently aromatic and clear, the tannins lightly grained. Precise style of St. Joseph almost inspired by Burgundy. Finishes on its oak and the final waves of the black cherry fruit.
