Tasting: Napa & Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

Lush blackberry nose. Quite rich, juicy, concentrated, with just enough acidity to perk up the palate. Unfortunately the alcohol is quite high and there’s little light and shade on the palate. Perfectly drinkable but not very exciting or characterful. Medium length.

A great intense wine mainly driven by the fruits, this shows a great balance and finish. The tannins are young but well integrated.

High roast coffee notes in the nose. Oak makes its presence felt. Very succulent, juicy fruit in the mouth. A sense of christmas spices in the finish.
