During the 12th annual Night of the Best Of Wine Tourism awards ceremony in Bordeaux, no less than 19 trophies were awarded, including 6 Gold Best Of trophies.
The recipients were rewarded for their excellent contributions to wine tourism. The 2015 prize winners received their trophies on the 7th October 2014, in the reception hall of the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
The next challenge for the Bordeaux winners will be to bring home an International Best Of Wine Tourism trophy on the 6th November 2014, during the international award ceremony in Mendoza.
Highlights of the 2015 awards ceremony in Bordeaux:
No less than 69 candidature dossiers were submitted in Bordeaux this year for the 2015 Best Of competition, and half of those were new candidates. The Best Of Wine Tourism trophies were awarded in 6 categories: « Architecture & Landscapes », « Art & Culture », « Innovative Wine Tourism experiences », « Accommodation », « Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices » and « Wine tourism services ».
According to the organisers, who were satisfied with the quality of the participants’ submissions: « The 2015 competition was a particularly close one. Most of the candidates propose high quality wine tourism offers and services. All the submitted dossiers were highly informed and well presented. »

An internationally recognised label seal of approval:
The 2015 award winners will benefit from an internationally recognised label and a communication network aimed at promoting their notoriety. This includes a website, press relations, promotional campaigns and an annual guide, all of which will provide the winners with the necessary support and visibility to attract attention from journalists, travel agencies, tour operators and the general public.
The winners will also be members of the very select BEST OF CLUB, which organises regular theme-based seminars and business meetings. Club members can also use a designated private space for exchanging information on ICCI, the business social network.
Bordeaux winners objective: an INTERNATIONAL BEST OF award
The next challenge awaiting the Bordeaux GOLD BEST OF award winners of the 12th Night of the BEST OF WINE TOURISM, will be to bring home an INTERNATIONAL BEST OF 2015 trophy.
In this second leg of the competition, all the Great Wine Capitals’ prize winners will be competing together. The INTERNATIONAL BEST OF 2015 awards ceremony will be held on the 6th November, in Mendoza. This event will coincide with the Great Wine Capitals General Meeting, hosted this year in Argentina.
