Tasting: Napa & Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

Lush blackcurrant nose, quite oaky. Rich, plump, full-bodied, supple on the palate but doesn’t lack tannic backbone. A distinct spiciness perks up the palate, but it does lack some acidity and drive. Still, a balanced wine with fairly good length.

Very ripe almost too ripe, the alcohol is very generous. The wine shows a few notes of burnt wood on the palate

Very Californian. Lush, ripe nose. Sweet fruit. Very concentrated fruit in middle. Silky, sweet finish. Good to go but with good future.
