Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Rich stone fruits and banana nose. Fine attack, assertive, pungent acidity, yet it doesn’t lack ripeness and flesh. It has the austerity typical of Blagny, but there’s ample fruit. This needs some time to soften and round out, and it could use a bit more zest on the finish, but it’s balanced and well made.

Spicy yellow fruit, indeed lots of juicy attractive fruits and well-managed oak.

Good, honeyed flavours on the palate, but low acidity to give it lift and life.
