Charmes

Stephen Brook
Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010
Nutty nose, quite oaky. Plump, juicy, rounded, full-bodied, a generous style but balanced by good acidity and a tang of juniper. Open and welcoming rather than subtle or nuanced. Quite good length.

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010
Restrained on the nose but oak all over this. The palate is dominated by vanilla spice and oaky notes; there is acidity and structure to the middle palate, but not my style.

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010
Quite restrained nose with more yellow than white fruits and still some phenolics from the oak. Sweet middle fruit and nice acidity, but overall a bit broad and lacks lift.
