History:

L’Arrosée’s claim to fame is that one of its earliest owners, Pierre Magne, was Finance Minister to Napoleon III. Magne, who saw his wine win gold at the Paris Universal Exhibition in 1867, left the estate to his daughter Marie, Marquise de Reverseaux de Rouvray, who herself eventually sold it in 1911. The current owners, the Caille family, acquired the property in 2002. L’Arrosée is unusual in that the wine includes an atypically high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon for the appellation.
