La Goutte d'Or
Manufacturer:
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010
Oily oaky nose, heavy-handed and lacks finesse. Lush, broad, rather heavy, and while it has an appealing creaminess, it lacks elegance and poise. Reasonable acidity, so it has decent length, but overall a fairly old-fashioned expression of Meursault.

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010
The nose is open and has stone fruits and smoky oak. The palate has yellow fruits and good acid without the weight and minerals showing off.

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010
Floral, yellow fruits on the nose, quite honeyed and herby. Very good natural richness on the palate, dry honey and dried fruit present and oak still evident. Still a bit phenolic and the alcohol comes through on the finish. A broad, robust Meursault for the mid-term.
