Tinpot Hut
Manufacturer:
Peter McCombie MW
Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir
Attractively evolved nose of leather, dried herbs, spice and beetroot; complex mature flavours, with firm acidity and fine tannins. Good length. Good, but needs food.
Christine Parkinson
Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir
Very smoky, black fruit aromas; palate rather bland, with mildly fruity notes, a good deal of wood, and no strong character. Warm and spicy, and woudl work with food.
Joanna Simon
Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir
Fresh, lively, sweet-cherry aromas. Still fresh palate but with layers of savoury and other flavours. Dry, spicy, still has acidity, but just hinting at oxidation to come.
