Mahi
Manufacturer:
Peter McCombie MW
Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir
Exotic spice, incense, showing development; pretty floral-tinged red fruit, with attractive freshness and balance, with fine tannins. Long.
Christine Parkinson
Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir
Delicate, fragrant nose. Palate sweet and lifted. Very plush and showy, with masses of vanilla-tinged berry fruit, and velvety tannins. Rounded acidity makes for easy drinking, and generous oak doesn’t impede the vibrant fruit.
Joanna Simon
Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir
Sweet, spicy and oaky on the nose, though with red berry fruit there too. Not very subtle, and quite oaky, but still unmistakeably Pinot Noir with fresh acidity. The oak is a little coarse. 15
