Lake Chalice
Manufacturer:
Peter McCombie MW
Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir
Herbal, baked tamarillo; quite smooth, but tannins not quite ripe, leaving dry astringent finish.
Christine Parkinson
Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir
Raw bramble fruit aromas, with a slightly soapy note. Intense tobacco notes on palate, and raw berries, but still soapy. Acidity is at the core of this wine, with gentle tannins and long, savoury finish. Quite lean, but interesting.
Joanna Simon
Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir
Fragrant, clean, raspberry aromas. Medium-bodied, pure and quite elegant. Slightly tart acidity and not complex or long, but balanced and has clear varietal character.
