The competition that serves as a point of reference point in the world of Pinots
The Mondial du Pinot Noir (MPN) is reference point, one of the major international wine competitions.
It is open to all producers in the Pinot world, with more than 1,100 wines, from 22 countries, participating in 2008.
It is a one-of-a-kind competition, for a single variety, but it is rich in strongly different expressions that reflect the many terroirs where the grape is grown.
It gives producers a chance to measure their own wines against the best.
For consumers, the Mondial du Pinot Noir offers a reliable guide, an assurance that among the winners will be wines they want to buy.
The 12th Mondial du Pinot Noir will be held August 21-23, 2009, in Sierre, Switzerland. Registration closes July 25, 2008.
