Decanter and Anthony Barton invite you to a very special evening of great wine and gourmet food in the beautiful setting of the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park. Your evening will begin with a Champagne reception where Christian Pol Roger will introduce his sumptuous Champagne Pol Roger Brut Chardonnay 1996 Blanc de Blanc.
During dinner Anthony Barton will present a personal selection of his world renowned wines, starting with the delicious Réserve de Léoville Barton; paired with the fish course as this unusual combination is an especial favourite of M. Barton’s. Guests will then be treated to the sleek and stylish 1995 Château Langoa Barton, a great year for this classic wine. The highlight of the evening will be the superb 1990 and 1989 vintages of M. Barton’s St Julien Grand Cru Classé Château Léoville Barton, truly one of the world’s great wines. The wines will be perfectly matched with a gourmet menu specially created for the evening by the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park’s Executive Chef David Nichols.
