Another year in which the top growers turned out better wines than the general rating might imply. Martínez Bujanda had an excellent year, and Corrál, Faustino, Salceda, Montecillo and Olarra reported very good vintages, with 18% Gran Reserva in the case of Faustino, against a background of 9%, which is better than (the modern) average.
