Scassa, Superiore
Manufacturer:
Andrea Bricarello
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
very expressive fruity nose. Lots of dark spices followed by hints of balsamic and stewed fruits. Full bodied intense and with gripping tannins.
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Very deep red. Voluptuous plummy nose, showing a slight reduction. Surprisingly sweet attack, close to jammy, despite the fierce acidity. This is clumsy and out of balance. Medium length.
Ian D'Agata
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Dark red. Spicy aromatic nose of cloves, dried herbs, nutmeg and red cherry. Then peppery and high acid.
