Andrea Bricarello

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

Lots of violets and wild game on the nose. Intense and full bodied with hints of chocolate powder and blackberry jam. Spicy and rich, it has a lots of concentration and a spicy finish.

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

Dense blackberry. Oaky and a little reductive. Quite fresh with ripe and juicy fruit flavours but oak dominates the finish. Rather murky finish.

Ian D'Agata

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

Opaque inky purple. Strong vanilla and cinnamon notes camouflage dark berries on the nose. Then bright and fresh with rich cocoa and coffee flavours supporting blackberry and balsamic plums on the long finish. This big, weighty wine has considerable acid, alcohol and tannic bite.
