Superiore
Manufacturer:
Andrea Bricarello
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
earthy and mineral with sour cherry and pomegranate character. Tight and tannic with brisk acidity and greengage acidity. Rustic and spicy on the finish.
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Very deep red. Stern oaky nose, black fruits and liquorice. Medium-bodied and rather slack, without the rigour that the nose suggests. It’s a bit too tannic for the weight of fruit, and has been overworked. Moderate length.
Ian D'Agata
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Bright red. Floral and fruity aromas and flavours of red fruit, orange peel and herbs. Finishes long and clean, but with plenty of oak.
