G. D. Vajra
Manufacturer:
Andrea Bricarello
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Very plumped up nose of ripe red summer fruits. Well balanced freshness. Elegant and rustic. Pure juicy fruit shining through. Fresh and vibrant example.
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Very deep red. Light grassy nose, sour cherries. Medium-bodied, rather slight and soupy, lacks concentration and vigour. There’s reasonable fruit but it’s modest and rather dull. Medium length.
Ian D'Agata
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Medium purple-red. Delicate red berry, plum and flint on the nose. Then very bright and juicy, with pure flavours of red cherry, blackcurrant and Christmas spices, with pretty flinty notes at the back. Lovely wine.
