Serious, oaky-tannic nose with dense plummy fruit. Very dry tannins, but good acid-fruit energy. Bit over extracted, but made to last.

Charming red, super spiced and concentrated. Delicious to drink on its own but perhaps less so with food.

Unbelievably ripe and alcoholic on the nose and palate. A caricature of Sangiovese either from a low altitude vineyard or from a winemaker who prizes ripeness above all. 2009 demanded a steady hand in the vineyard and this wine is all over the place.
