Stephen Brook
Tasting: Crus Bourgeois 2010
Perky, savoury nose with a touch of menthol; black cherry fruit. Ripe and svelte, quite elegant, has more freshness than many St. Estephes and doesn’t lack concentration. Textured and long, with considerable finesse.
Ronan Sayburn MS
Tasting: Crus Bourgeois 2010
Dense dark nose, very concentrated and rich, blackcurrant and dark wood, solid tannins, round creamy oak palate with brown cooking spices and pencil shavings, chalky tannins. Long length.
Steven Spurrier
Tasting: Crus Bourgeois 2010
Quite meaty/spicy nose and quite meaty/spicy palate, still quite firm, but natural ripeness is there and the fruit is robust, but balanced by tannins and acidity.
