Originally from Friuli, Italy, Bruno Besa has over 30 years of experience in the wine trade.
A former Sommelier in Central London, he became Managing Director of Astrum Wine Cellars in 2001. During his time at Astrum, Bruno has developed and expanded upon the company’s selection, to include some of Italy’s top, most sought-after agencies, as well as some incredible wineries from Central Europe and beyond.
Passionate about sharing his knowledge, Bruno is a regular contributor to renowned publications such as The World of Fine Wine Magazine and has judged for the Decanter World Wine Awards since 2007.
