Laurent Richet MS
Growing up in the Loire Valley, he attended catering college in Saumur, where he passed his Sommelier exam. He then went on to work at several prestigious Michelin-starred establishments, including La Réserve de Beaulieu in the Côte d’Azur, l’Hôtel de Paris in Monaco, Celtic Manor Resort in South Wales, The Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Florida, Hotel TerraVina in the New Forest, UK, Restaurant Sat Bains with rooms, and now Restaurant Fitzgerald in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
During his career, he has had the opportunity to work with incredibly talented and knowledgeable people who motivated and inspired him to become the best he could be.
His hard work paid off in 2010 when he passed the Master Sommelier exam, earning the Crew Cup for best achievement. He also achieved third place in the Best Sommelier UK competition in 2012 and became a Certified Sake Sommelier in 2014.
Laurent has recently joined the wine supplying world as a Wine Consultant/Account Manager for the De Bruijn in Wijnen in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. He also teaches and judges for the Court of Master Sommeliers Europe.
