Champagne and art often go hand in hand and plenty of Champagne houses have collaborated with artists and designers to create interesting and often abstract installations and objects. As Maison Perrier-Jouët announce its latest collaboration, here's a selection of the most famous.
Maison Perrier-Jouët has announced its newest installation in London, Fleurs des Rêves, an ultra-exotic flower shop in collaboration with Bompas & Parr. The shop will be full of colour changing flowers, where customers will be able to make their own bouquets.
Perrier-Jouët’s previous London installation was the Curiosity Cloud, a collaboration with Austrian design pair mischer’traxler for London Design Week 2015. The installation, with cues from the Art Nouveau movement, featured 250 mouth-blown glass ‘bubbles, each with a tiny foil, lazercut insect fluttering around inside. The installation is now in Champagne.

Perrier-Jouët and Ritsue Mishima
Perrier-Jouët teamed up with Japanese artist Ritsue Mishima for Miami Design Week 2015. Her Japanese-influenced aesthetic is married with the Venetian glass making tradition to create All’ombra della luce (in the shadow of the light). The installation evokes light and shadow: the light representing the vineyards and the moving seasons with the shadows symbolising the half-light of the cellars where the Champagne is made.
Ruinart and Hubert Le Gall
Inspired by the passing of the seasong in Ruinart's vineyards, Hubert Le Gall re-imagines the passage of time in glass representations.
Saber by G.H.Mumm
This 'saber' and case was designed by Ross Lovegrove for G.H.Mumm. The white polyurethane lacquered casket houses a stainless steel sabre and a bottle of G.H. Mumm French House’s Cordon Rouge.
Dom Pérignon and Jeff Koons
Dom Pérignon collaborated with Jeff Koons to create the 'Balloon Venus' bottle holder. It is based on Venus of Willendorf but also references Koons' 'Balloon Rabbit and Dog'. Only 650 were made and it was available to buy for $20,000.
Dom Pérignon Metamorphosis
In 2013 Dom Pérignon teamed up with Dutch designer Iris van Harpen, who designed this Cocoonase for the 2004 vintage.
Krug and Ionna Vautrin
Krug teamed up with French designer Ionna Vautrin to create a ceramic, Champagne bubble listening device modeled on a ship's foghorn. The device is attached to the top of a Champagne flute and allows drinkers to hear their fizz.
