Tasting: Crus Bourgeois 2010

Robust blackberry nose. Rich, full-bodied, weighty, concentrated, and has a light chocolaty tone from the oak. The acidity seems fairly low so there’s isn’t much zest or persistence, but it’s a solid and fruit-packed Medoc.

Clean elegant style, delicate but classic Medoc, touch of toasty toffee oak but balanced. Palate quite tannic and less graceful fruit.

Dense colour, young rim, good red and black berry fruit, some fragrance and already showing well, good fruit and good tannins to hold it for a few years.
