Slightly austere nose with both ripe fruit and clear new wood. Ripe fruit core, lively acidity within a firm tannic frame. Lesser 1er Cru complexity and length, good without being special.

Deep red, youthful rim. Well-concentrated red and black summer fruits on the nose and impressive structure and weight on the palate. Good ripeness but not much finesse, a broad wine that will show well, but always a bit rich for Volnay.

Woody red fruit nose, wood dominating the palate, some red fruit peeking out. Smooth quite present tannins wash over the palate towards the finish.
