Tasting: Napa & Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

Sweet generous black fruits nose, with a touch of mocha. Quite rich and plump but has good underlying acidity and moderate tannins. But it lacks some drive and complexity and seems static in the mouth, though the finish is sweet without being jammy. It’s a decent wine but not really harmonious or characterful.

Very elegant made in a very European style, with a medium intensity. The wine shows a panel of fresh black fruits followed by a hint of cedar wood and a earthy touch.

Kirsch notes in nose. Porty. A sense of ripe fruit. Bit one-dimensional. Evolved.
