100% Viognier from one of France’s most consistent ‘brands’. The variety certainly shows its colours on the nose but not in an excessive manner; instead there are subtle aromas of apricot tart with a touch of honey. In the mouth it’s a blend of stonefruit and mineral notes with a clean, rounded finish.

![]() This has the deepest gold of all. Honey and flowers initially on the nose. This has a perfect full-on attack, which gets to every last little tastebud. Wonderfully fulfilling. Lots of savour and honey. The most distinctive wine of all yet it still has a lot of acid. The taste is big and long and this is a great lively white. Very exciting indeed. A terrific, indisputable thoroughbred.

![]() One of those elusive aromas that seems to change each time you plonk your nose in the glass. There’s a hint of spice, some flowers… A mineral edge on the palate which is quite rich, textured with a lime acidic finish. An excellent length. Alcohol 14.5%.
Normally I would decry the use of new oak fermentation on an aromatic grape like Viognier. But the combination of some bottle age with the oak has resulted in a complexity and depth you seldom discover in a Viognier. The aromatics are different from a young, fresh, unoaked wine so for interest alone this scores highly.
