Wines of Argentina called all budding photographers as we searched for the photo that best captured the true spirit of Argentina. The winning prize was an all-expenses paid trip to Argentina.
Wines of Argentina (WofA), launched “The Wine Caption” in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, United Kingdom and the Netherlands. A photo contest specially designed for social networking sites with particular focus on Instagram.
The first stage of the contest began on October 25th and ended on November 26th, 2013. The second stage of evaluation and selection by people began on November 27 and ended on December 23, 2013.
To enter this contest, participants had to have an account and follow WofA on Instagram, be 18 years or older and do not reside in Argentina. The steps were easy: they had to take and share one or more pictures with a personal comment on what Argentina and its wines mean to them on Instagram using the hashtag #thewinecaption, then added likes and shared the pictures.
The top 10 photos with the most “likes” were judged by Wofa´s Facebook fans who then chose the winner.
The final winner, Bonesa Chavez (38) won a five-day trip for two to Argentina during May 2014.
