Anne McHale MW is a judge at the at the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA)
Anne McHale MW was born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland. After graduating with a degree in French and classics from Cambridge University in 2003, she moved to London to work for French wine specialist agency Mistral Wines. McHale joined Berry Bros. & Rudd in 2006, where she still works as a wine educator, teaching and hosting a wide range of wine events including tutored tastings, educational dinners and WSET courses. In 2010 she was awarded the honour of Young Wine Writer of the Year by The Circle of Wine Writers. McHale became a Master of Wine in 2013, winning several awards in the process, including the Bollinger Medal for excellence in tasting and the Wines of Austria award for outstanding achievement in all areas of the examination. This is the first year McHale has been a DWWA judge.
