Born in Turin, Vanessa Cinti Borgia is the Marketing Director USA, Canada and UK for two wineries in Piedmont, La Spinetta and Contratto. Prior to this she was head sommelier at The Dorchester Collection’s 45 Park Lane Hotel in London.
She has also worked at a number of acclaimed restaurants in Colorado, including La Tour Restaurant in Vail, Remington’s at The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch and, most recently, she was beverage director at Wolfgang Puck’s Spago at The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch.
Cinti Borgia achieved her advanced sommelier qualification from The American Chapter of the Court of Master Sommeliers and has been accredited as a sake sommelier by the Sake Sommelier Association.
Vanessa first judged at the DWWA in 2015.
