Win tickets to the world premiere of Sparkling: The story of Champagne

The highly anticipated feature documentary, Sparkling: The Story of Champagne, will be released in UK cinemas on June 25. To celebrate we have a pair of tickets to the world premiere, exclusively for Decanter readers. The film will have its world premiere at the Cine Lumiere in South Kensington on June 24 at 6.15pm, followed by a Q & A with the filmmakers (Frank Mannion & Oxana Popkova) and a reception sponsored by Pol Roger & Bolney, Fever-Tree and Franco Manca. All guests, including the winners, will be required to wear a face covering while watching the film and to respect the COVID protocols at the venue.

The film features a stellar ensemble cast including Stephen Fry and the A-List from the world of Champagne – Taittinger President Vitalie Taittinger, Pol Roger CEO Laurent d’Harcourt, Bollinger Chairman Etienne Bizot, Dom Perignon wine-maker Vincent Chaperon, Jean-Baptiste Lecaillon, Sir Nicholas Soames, the grand-son of Winston Churchill (who famously drank over 40,000 bottles of Pol Roger in his lifetime) and the Queen’s winemaker, Tony Laithwaite.

The film is getting great reviews, being described as “a sparkling debut” to “a film of the finest vintage” to “beautifully shot, thoroughly researched, and above all a good time, full of amusing anecdotes and exotic locales”.

Major Champagne houses featured include Pol Roger, Piper Heidsieck (Marilyn Monroe’s favourite), Bollinger (which has appeared in 15 James Bond 007 movies including No Time To Die), Taittinger, Veuve Clicquot, Cattier, de Venoge, Moet & Chandon, Pommery, Cristal/Louis Roederer, JAY Z-owned Armand de Brignac and various English wineries in Kent and Hampshire, as well as unique access to the Queen’s vineyard at Windsor Great Park.
