The Decanter Retailer Awards 2014 celebrate the UK’s best wine retailers according to their wine range, online and in-store innovation, and customer service over the past 12 months.
Judging Criteria
Supermarket of the Year
– This category is open to all supermarkets based in the UK and selling wine as part of their overall business activity.
National Wine Retailer of the Year
– Each entrant in this category must be publically trading in the UK
Small Independent Retailer of the Year
– Each entrant must have a maximum of 10 employees.
– Each entrant must be privately owned.
Large Independent Retailer of the Year
– Each entrant must have a minimum of 11 employees.
– Each entrant must be privately owned.
Specialist Wine Retailer of the Year
– Entrants must retail in the UK, and specialise in a particular variety or region of wine.
The judging panel will be supported by independent specialist advisors where necessary when reviewing entries for the specialist categories.
Rules of entry
– All entries must be based in the UK and sell wine as their main business activity.
– You may enter more than one category.

Italy Specialist Wine Retailer of the Year
