Washington 1992: Drink now
The hot summer produced a number of fine wines with modest tannins
Weather Conditions
After a mild winter, budbreak occurred in mid-March, several few weeks ahead of normal. Bloom and set were also two weeks ahead of schedule, but the weather cooperated and the set was good. From June on, the growing season was just the opposite of ’91, being warm enough to ripen the fruit and to lead to an early harvest. The vintage was a relatively warm one, with the above average size crop being harvested two to three weeks ahead of normal.
