Pepperilly
Manufacturer:
Andrew Jefford
Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay
Full green-gold. Creamy, lactic scents with a little gingery intrigue. Pleasantly light, nuanced palate, with once again what I assume are the barrel-fermentation complexities taking the lead — more cream, more nuts, but poised and vivid. A lower alcohol wine which doesn’t taste sharp or under-ripe.

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay
Marmalade and marzipan on nose, great minerality, textured on the palate, quite thick and luscious, lingering violets, almonds and rich nectarines, unusual, soft acidity, a wine to keep?

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay
Elegant, delicate and mineral with lovely ripe lemon and mandarin notes. Crisp, still delivering nice round fruit characters and enough creamy texture. Textbook western Australia chardonnay
