Domaine de Gry-Sablon, Fleurie 2015
From a 2.5 hectare vineyard with an average vine age of 45 years, the use of 70% whole bunch fermentation from the old vines has lent this wine a lovely intensity and noticeable astringency. Candied cherries and the slightest hint of bubblegum are classic Beaujolais aromas, with cherries of a more sour nature showing on the palate. The structure and intensity makes this a wine that would work well with tapas.
