From the stable of negociant Louis Jadot, the grapes for this wine are taken from a single estate. Fresh, with a slightly tropical nose, this is incredibly accessible and a step up from many sub £10 Burgundies. There is delicacy on the palate – this is not a new world blockbuster Chardonnay by any means – and there is a wonderful balance of fresh acidity and rich toasty oak accompanied by apple, citrus and hints of tropical fruit.
