Premier Cru

Tasting: Vosne-Romanee 2010
Fairly deep to deep red. Subdued cherry nose. Rich, suave, has big ripe tannins and ample weight of fruit. It’s brooding and reserved now, with black cherry fruit, but it doesn’t lack acidity and flair. This needs time to become less solemn and more fully expressive but the components all seem in place. Chewy but not chunky finish, with good length.

Tasting: Vosne-Romanee 2010
bright purple-red;
ripe Pinot aromas, good complexity, distinguished;
fresh start, good fruit intensity, finishes a bit edgy, tannins harsh, from poor barrels, I think.

Tasting: Vosne-Romanee 2010
Fine bright colour. The nose displays a hint of green fruit which continues on to the palate. Enough to be a problem in as expensive a wine as 1er cru Vosne Romanee. Might it be green wood as much as fruit?
