Chateau de Camensac

Tasting: Medoc crus classes 2009
Lush black cherry and cassis nose, opulent fruit, but lifted too. Rich, supple, forward, a touch soft though has some acidic bite. It’s fresh and stylish but doesn’t have much depth or staying power, and lacks some concentration. Quite long.

Tasting: Medoc crus classes 2009
Slightly muted nose, attractive hints of blackcurrant and red plum. Quite soft on the palate to begin with, then considerable evidence of tannin, but ripe tannin, not at all aggressive or austere.Quite concentrated, quite dense, but not profound and no real sense of class or complexity. Attractive and will be approachable soon. Medium length.

Tasting: Medoc crus classes 2009
Good Cabernet black berry nose, quite fragrant and good depth and fruit, still a little raw and this continues to the palate. Oak and tannins not yet blended in, but this will come and the natural ripeness and vineyard expression will dominate. Good medium term wine.
