Château La Lagune 2014
In bottle tasting note, October 2016
Very deep red. There are lifted blackcurrant aromas on the nose, which is elegant, polished and supported by sweet oak. After a vigorous attack, the palate is firm and concentrated, robust without coming across as tough. There’s structure here, but subtlety too, with ripe tannins on the long finish.
Taster: Stephen Brook
Alc 13.5%
En primeur tasting note
Fine florality and depth, but an atypical La Lagune with 70% Cabernet, 20% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot. Tighter and leaner than usual with good length but richness and finesse to come.
Taster: Steven Spurrier
