Chateau La Tour Carnet

Tasting: Medoc crus classes 2009
Subdued blackberry and black cherry nose. Broad, juicy, sleek, and concentrated, with firm tannins, plenty of spice, and fair acidity. Not very expressive now, but clearly has potential. It’s polished, balanced, and reasonably long.

Tasting: Medoc crus classes 2009
Strange initial bouquet with hints of wild berry fruit. Calms down a bit on second glance. Evidence of a lot of Merlot fruit but some discordant notes from wood gtannins which dry the palate. Not totally harmonious, may improve with time but seems a bit clumsy now. Slightly hard on the finish.

Tasting: Medoc crus classes 2009
Deep concentrated red. Fine, firm Cabernet nose, fragrant, expressive and already some complexity, slightly chocolaty richness, but acidity and tannins are there to give structure, lift and length. Has class and elegance and potential complexity.
