Herbert Hall, Brut, Kent, England, 2010

Brut

Score

86
  • Drink: 2013 - 2020

Manufacturer:

Herbert Hall

Richard Hemming

Tasting: UK Sparkling

Saline, biscuit, wheatgerm character on the nose, and a nutty note to finish. Quite esoteric. Perhaps just too unusual for its own good?

Justin Howard-Sneyd

Tasting: UK Sparkling

Mid gold. Mousse is dying away a little. Nose is ripe and a little cooked. Ripe, full-flavoured palate, with plenty of fruit expression, and strawberries and cream flavours

Stephen Skelton

Tasting: UK Sparkling

Nose quite neutral. Palate is filled with fruit and tastes fresh and luscious. Middle palate is full, but tails off on the finish which is dominated with dosage. Very good mid-range wine. Well made and presented, but not a super-star.
