Chateau Rigaud
Manufacturer:
Rosemary George
Tasting: Languedoc
deep colour, quite rounded. A touch of spice – quite soft spicey fruit with a streak of tannin. Lacks weight and body.
Andrew Jefford
Tasting: Languedoc
Saturated black-red; very densely coloured. A little closed aromatically just now, but you get the sense that this is one of those wines which is pregnant with anticipation: good things are in the offing, given a little more bottle time. Rich, deep, vivid and long; splendid fruits; but less minerality and skin-extracts than the very best. Exciting, high-quality, fruit-forward Faugeres, though.
Simon Taylor
Tasting: Languedoc
Strong primary hue -and the same fruit-forward character apparent in the aromas and on the palate. Obvious, bright and jammy.
